We are here for the Diablo Community

D3Clans.com is an unofficial clan/guild database for the upcoming game Diablo 3. The website is designed not only to maintain a list of Diablo 3 clans, but also to aid clans in the recruitment of players whom share the same interest in D3. Conversely we hope to aid players in finding a clan which not only have a similar focus in the game as they do, but also to find players who they actually like to be around.


We want to give clans the tools they need

Let face it, managing a group of people is no easy task, even if it is just a casual group of friends that like to kill some demons every once in a while. It can be a real challenge to get people online at the same time. We think we can help with that. D3C provides tools to find players that have a similar focus as other players in the clan. We provide an interface to manage the clans, calendars so your members can keep up to date with what's going on, and articles to help clan leadership keep their members and run a successful clan.


Players matter too

D3C isn't geared entirly toward clan leadership. We allow members of clans (or D3 players who don't want to be in a clan) to communicate and share with others in the D3 Community. We have communication tools to let players talk with each other outside of the game. We will have a ladder/tournament system for players that are interested in PvP. Players can share YouTube and Vimeo videos, upload screenshots, and links to website with helpful resources.


What are our plans for the future

Since Diablo 3 isn't even in beta yet, there are still many unknowns about the game mechanics, but also what exactly the needs of players will be in D3? What tools will they need to help them be successful? Once we can start to answer these questions we will start to built tools to help players get the most out of the time they can play. We are open to suggestions from the community for tools and features they would like to see as well.

Goals

Running a clan should be easier

D3Clans.com was created to aid clans & communities with bridging the gap between in-game and out-of-game.


Our goal is to provide clans with tools to help ensure they are successful in their recruiting, management, and that they are long lived. Running a clan isn't easy. Any seasoned gamer will have some experience with clans that start up and die off if no time at all. It's such a waste of time and energy to have a clan die out when it might have kept going if the clan leadership had some additional resources at their disposal. This is what we intend to provide.


Clans should benefit the player

We want to provide players with tools they need to find a group of people with similar interests and whom they enjoy to play the game with. This will hopefully mean a player will spend less time finding a clan they like and spend more time playing Diablo 3.


Posterity

Lastly we hope to create a clan database with a complete list of all D3 Clans (Or as close to complete as possible). This database will not only help players find a clan to join, but also years from now when players take a break and come back to the game. They will have a starting point to catch up with some people they may have played with in the past.
